Have A Wonderful Day

At The Sisterhood of Crafters our July monthly theme is
Stripes and/or Dots.

I went strictly with dots using a dotted paper from
My Favorite Things Poppin' Polka Dots.
I die cut with a Spellbinders Floral Oval.
The flowers are Waffle Flower  'Flower Focal' die that I purchased
back in February .  I die cut  them from a white card scrap and then inked
with Altenew inks.  The sentiment is The Ton Easy Expressions.

Butterfly Blossom

Hello friends,  in trying to get my 'newly' purchased basket whittled down
I pulled out a stencil/die combo from Waffle Flower Butterfly Blossom
that I had since they released it over four months ago.
It is a gorgeous die and stencil that can be created
in many colors.  I went with this color combo so I could enter
The Flower Challenge

The inks used were Altenew Orange Sorbert~Rouge~Blush~Sand Dunes~
Peach Perfect~Buttercream~Dew Drops and Aqualicious.
The pinkish looking flowers are really more of a peachy orange color, it was very hard to capture the true colors
and it so much prettier IRL!
The sentiment is a Betterpress and I thought it would make a pretty anniversary card!
This is a great die and stencil that is easy to use and line up
using my 'sticky' mat.  I don't know why I waited so long
to use it as now I want to make a few more color combos!

Thanks for dropping by!!

Embroidered Card

Hello friends, here we are mid year already and it's the
day of our challenge for the month at
The Neglected Stuff
where you are to use that poor stuff that just sits in your stash
and has been neglected for six months or longer!

When we were traveling back and forth to our lake house 2 years ago
(we sold the lake house so no more stitching while traveling)
I took several of the Spellbinders Stitched die cut panels with me to
stitch in the car, after all it was a five and a half hour road trip so over the
years I was able to get LOTS of stitching done but have
just let the poor things sit and not used.
This challenge pushes me to get my neglected 'stuff' out and use it!
I left a sentiment off as I didn't want to cover up any of the stitching.
This die is Stitched Petal Frame but no longer available.

We can't wait to see YOUR Neglected Stuff at our challenge!!

Season's Greetings

Hello friends, we are into another month at Peace On Earth and have a
fun mood board for July.  It's for inspiration only as you can create anything Christmas,
but by all means, let it inspire you!.

I have lots of beautiful Poinsettia dies and stamps
and this one is always a favorite of mine, I have used it before
but never in blue, those blue Poinsettias inspired me.
The die is another one I picked up at the Sizzix warehouse sale several
years ago.  I got a little creative with this by first die cutting then taking the
die cut and snipped off all the veins and outlines in the leaves and petal.
Then I taped that down on a card base and stenciled my colors in using
that die cut as a stencil.  Once done I adhered a double sided adhesive to
a card front and die cut, pulled off the adhesive backing and stuck it down over
the stenciled front.  It worked out pretty good.  I saved the inky stencil for another time.
The sentiment is Hero Arts.

Come and see some pretty creations from the design team.

Happy Birthday and More

Can you believe we are into July already?  The months surely seem
to fly by and it will be winter before we know it, but luckily we still
are having summer and our Love Those Pretty Papers challenge
where our OPTIONAL theme is Happy Birthday, an easy theme
as I think birthday cards are the most needed!

For the theme of Birthdays I used a beautiful paper pad from
Paper Rose 'Wild Poppies'.  This pad is full of gorgeous poppy designed paper
plus many more.  I die cut a Tutti Designs postage die and stamped my
Sparkle N Sprinkle Poppies on it then colored in with Copics.
I had the little strip I used for my sentiment in my 'spare parts' bin
and stamped my sentiment with a Pretty Pink Post Simple Sentiments stamp.

For my 'Anything Goes' card I once again used beautiful paper from
Paper Rose, it is Bluebird Song, a pad full of the most beautiful bluebird sheets!
The frame is a Sizzix Bigz die 'Decor Frames'.  within the frame is a small
postage die that I perched my new Memory Box Bird Blossom on,
though the head piece is to be glued on the 'back' of the bird not the front as I have,
whoops, I wondered why that piece covered up his eye, but mistake or not
I still think it's the cutest little birdie!
The sentiment is The Ton Easy Expressions.

Have lots of pretty papers?  Then come and join us at our
Love Those Pretty Papers challenge!

Hello Summer

Hello friends, we have a new challenge starting today at
Simply Clean and Simple
with an OPTIONAL theme of BEACHY.

Leaving lots of white space, I did a bit of embossing across
the top of my card base for a bit of interest.  I added a piece of
2x2 Honey Bee Beach Vibes paper and a die cut sailboat,
the largest of three from Impression Obsessions.
I die cut it in a scrap of white then colored it in with a red Copic .
The sentiment is Brutus Monroe Summer Lovin.

Can't get much simpler then that, hope to see you there!!

Happy Birthday

Our challenge for July starts today at Triple B
where we are all about Blooms~Butterflies~Birds!
You can use one, two or all three and our mood board below is for
inspiration only so feel free to use any color as long as you
stick to one of the three B's!

For my card I went with birds this time letting the pink and black colors inspire me.
using a Papertrey Wings of Love stencil I purchased last year around Valentine's Day
and is the
first time I have inked it up using Altenew inks
Pink Diamond,  Pinkalicious, Razzleberry and Forest Glades, plus a black for the eyes.
The sentiment is a Creative Expressions Wordies Sentiment which I forgot
I even had, that's what happens when you have too much 'stuff'!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Creating!!

A Big Happy Birthday

Our Word Power challenge is starting today
where our challenge is all about your BIG sentiments or words
and are pretty much the center of your card.

I have to say I have had much bigger sentiments then this one I am showing today
but I think it is big enough to work as when I look at my card
it is the first thing I see, which is what we are going for.
The sentiment is from the Sizzix set Hello Sunshine.
The papers used are Echo Park Bee Happy.  The fuzzy bee is also a Sizzix,
a free set from a scrapbookdotcom order.  The oval is a Cottage Cutz die
and the flowers came from my container of already made flowers using a
Concord & 9th Picked Posies  die.

So, get out those BIG sentiments and come and have some fun with us at our
Word Power challenge.

Tricks and Treats

Hello friends, we are actually now in July for our
Two Old Bats challenge but if you have been playing along
all year, you should be well on your way to having a good Halloween stash,
if not, what is stopping you?

As always we have a spooky fun mood board for inspiration
but you can create any Halloween project you want!

I let the bottom right corner inspire me with the fun kitty.
Last year just before Halloween I purchased this fun die from
Simon Says stamps and received it a bit late for Halloween that year
which is what makes our year round Halloween challenge so fun, I can
still use it without having to wait for Halloween to roll around again!

The die is Halloween Cat which I placed on a Tutti Designs Scalloped
die cut along with a black mat underneath.  The banner above is an oldie
die cut from a Memory Box banner die (2015) and the sentiment banner is from
Honey Bee and stamped with an old wood block stamp.  The background paper is
from a pad I received with an order from scrapbookdotcom.

We would love to have you join our July Halloween fun at
Two Old Bats and the design team always has some
awesome inspiration!

Flower Pots

Today at Double D and for the next couple of weeks we have a new challenge theme
and it is FLOWER POTS!
We have a fun and pretty inspiration/mood board but you can create anything
with flower pots on it!!

My card is using a flower pot, Pretty Pot  by The Greetery.
I filled the pot with 3D Katy Sue flowers I created last winter
and wondered how I was going to use them.  This pot made the perfect
place to 'plunk' them in.  You might notice that my 'pot' is a bit crooked, ugh,
I have that problem of getting things straight ever since I have had my mini
stroke five years ago, it is so frustrating but the worse to come out of that was my eye sight,
it really put a strain on my eyesight!  So just pretend it's straight!!
The little butterfly was found fluttering around in my 'spare parts' bin.

Come on over to Double D and see all the amazing designs from the design teams!

Hi Sweetie

Hello friends, we have a SUMMER color mood board for you this month at Colorful Options.
Think picnics, yummy summer food and pretty flowers!

I have to admit summer foods always entice me, nothing better then fresh
picked fruit in my book!  I mean look at all those yummy fruits, let alone
that sandwich, I might have to quit and go have my lunch LOL!

I used Lawn Fawn for my strawberry die and paper.
Outside in Stitched Strawberry die and Perfectly Plaid papers.
I used a Waffle Flower Lacey 2 die and a Tutti Designs Dotted Oval.
The sentiment is Sunny Studios.

I hope you have enjoyed my big plump strawberry card and
will come and join in our summer fun!

Flag Colors

Hello friends, at Stencil Fun our OPTIONAL theme is
YOUR flag colors.

Living in the USA our flag colors are of course the
red~white~blue.
It took me a bit to decide what I wanted to use but leafing through my stencil
notebook I can across this Tim Holtz 'Rays' stencil that I thought would make the
perfect background for my Cottage Cutz Patriotic Eagle With Top Hat
that I purchased on one of their up to 80% off sales.  The Eagle was a bit bigger
then I thought he would be so the large background worked great for him.  Both the stencil and the die are a first time use and perfect I think for July!!
The inks I used were Altenew Azurite and Hero Arts Cherry.
The eagle was die cut on white scrap pieces and colored in with Copics.

For my Anything Goes card I used a Hero Arts Folk Winter Animals Stencil
inked with Altenew Winter Lake and Artic Mountain, and Hero Arts Cherry.

We are an anything goes STENCIL challenge with an optional theme...
hope to see you there!!

You're So Sweet

We are into our second season of SUMMER at
The Four Seasons challenge and have a fun, summery mood board for inspiration,
but you can create any summery thing you want!

I let the yummy and colorful ice cream cone on the bottom right inspire me.
The hard part was deciding which of my die/stamp sets to use.

I finally settled on a die I received free with an order from scrapbookdotcom,
it is one of their own dies they sell.  I cut out six ice cream toppings from scraps of
white card stock
and inked each one up with various inks, the same with the cone and cherry.
I cut two banners from Cheery Lynn Designs to place my cone on.

The background paper is a first time use  too and is Honey Bee Team Tie Dye,
it is full of the prettiest papers.  The sentiment is Concord & 9th Pretty Sweet stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and come and have some
'summertime' fun with us!
